I relate music to the seasons or time of day a lot of the time. Certain music demands to be listened to in the autumn. Some during the summer. By the same token, I have some records that don't sound nearly as good at 11am than they do at 11pm.
It is spring time in New York City these days, and one song more than any other evokes the spirit and mood of spring...and that is "Boys Are Back In Town" by Thin Lizzy off their 1976 opus Jailbreak. This is one of my favorite records and this track sums it all up. Certainly the most famous Thin Lizzy song, and you know sometimes the most famous track is so for a reason, because this song simply slays.
Key Lyric: "That jukebox in the corner blasting out my favorite song / The nights are getting warmer, it won't be long / Won't be long till summer comes / Now that the boys are here again"
Thin Lizzy - Boys Are Back In Town
Gets me excited for the warmer weather... Thin Lizzy brings me back to summertime two years ago :)
